What is your set of definition for a genuine person?
Why people cheat ?
and Why genuine person is so hard to find ?
Honesty according to me is one of the trait which goes a long way to define genuinity of a person. Many people have a habit of speaking lies without solid reason. They are just in habit of speaking lies. Any uncomfortable situation and they try to get along it using a lie.
Moulding facts -- i say this is also one type of lie only. Somebody said that you can bend a law .. that way you can get your way and not break it also. When you say something it carries meaning; but it also depends upon the way in which you speak it. A person who is not genuine would use this subjective thing to his own advantage. He bends the truth but not break it. He is more dangerous than a person who is not honest.
Hiding Facts -- Some people just not say facts or truths. Everybody hides bits and pieces of information. But exactly there lies the difference, if somebody hides a piece of information which on moral ground should be shared with another one then the person hiding the information is wrong.
This is how i understand the meaning of a genuine person. What about you ?? Please comment.
It is understood that different people have different definitions of Genuinity. But i guess is one underlying fact governing everything. "INTENTIONS".
Why people cheat? -- Somehow i have (inversely ) related the two words genuine and cheating. People cheat because they are jealous. They are jealous of others people "Wealth" "Intelligence" and want to have more and more of anything. These are the main reasons which pushes us across the border which separates Cheaters with Genuine persons.
It is very difficult to make a person genuine if he is not. These traits are deep inside a persons heart. He will do anything to show that he is good and can go to any extent to cover his wrong doings. In worst case he does not count what he has done as wrong.
Cheating backstabbing and other information asymmetries are shortcuts for success. Honestly , in today's world these things are working and that is a worrying factor. Everybody wants to be successful and that is why increasingly large number of people are adopting this way of life.
Success achieved in this manner is short lived. This is not the real success. Real success is the one which gives you happiness.
Peace of Mind gives you real happiness and only a genuine person can experience peace of mind.
