Package for Happiness

HOUSE is one of my favorite serials , one thing that I like about the serial is that how puzzle ( HOUSE word for a MEDICAL CASE) is being solved with ideas that come from nowhere.
I have had certain experience like this lately.

Let me write down the whole conversation here for my ref also.

We started with a question how much salary is good enough ?

How hard we should work to get that dream salary?

While trying to answer the question, my initial answer was to have a package which will not let you think twice before buying anything.
His response was there are people who are more happier in this world earning far less than your dream salary.
Further he added , there are even more percentage of people who are not happy having earned that dream salary , because during the course , their dream salary has actually become something which is statistically outside the 99% confidence interval ( i am an actuary. ....).Hence they are not happy.

So my question was ... What is the recipe of being happy ?

He just said , Being happy is not being rich or being able to afford , being happy is just state of mind. World is going to fuck you, if you don't like it , you are being raped and if you like it ... its the best thing .

Now , its his turn of asking questions,

What will make you happy ?? What will you do to make yourself Happy( NOT THE SINGH IS KING ONE ) ?

My response was ( after a while ) that i want to travel a lot and do lots of photography, love to live a comfortable life with lovely lady and kids who are above average in Studies and love to play a lot.

My response was to have a good network of friends with whom i hang out a lot and enjoy every party. To have a laptop and a collection of good blogs which has a lot of readers.

Suddenly i realized , all these things does not require a dream salary but an average salary. Even to my surprise i didn't have in the list of becoming a entrepreneur or some big businessman.

My friends do say i get influenced very easily, may be because my friend is so simple that i too have my goals influenced. I don't know but whatever it is i can see myself happy in the setting.

My Blogging Habit

Photography has been my hobby for a quite a time now. But i have not done anything about it actually. I don't know why i call it a hobby. Thinking about the depth of my knowledge about photography( which is actually nothing ) i think i should now start studying and researching more about photography. I have already have a blog on photography. Hereby i decide to post more and more articles on the blog and increase my knowledge as well.

I would also want to write a blog in which i can enter various posts and that too very frequently. I think this would be my choice of blog.

Previously i have decided to write a blog on my profession (ACTUARIAL PROFESSION). I am really happy to state here is that now that my blog on Actuarial Profession is having really good response from its reader and Google. By Google i mean search results. I have actually devoted majority of my blogging time in developing that blog only. Now my focus will be on developing Photography blog.

Victim of Online Piracy

Blogging is fast becoming my favorite pastime. Yesterday I faced the much talked about problem on internet and in blogging world. PIRACY !!!. I was checking the ranking of my articles on google blog search. Was delighted to find out that my article was the top search result is searched by keywords present in the topic, but was quick to realize that I was not the author. Having wondered for few seconds I realize that my article ( word to word ) was on different website and blog , with different person claiming the article. My first reaction was @#*(#@#* but second one was “ somebody has found my article credible enough for to cut copy paste “.

After having talked with my brother about it, I understood one thing that you can not become credible and big if you steal others article. You just have to concentrate on your writing skills and keep writing good articles and keep improving article by article.

I just hope that I keep on writing this kind of articles, and probably much better articles than this one.

Tips for Doing Analysis

I have been doing job for seven months now, my job mostly consists of doing analysis. Analysis according to me is finding answers, doing research. In my case, finding or deriving meaning from the data and find out situations where it does not make sense.
Being an Actuarial Analyst ( still clearing papers) , i need to find out or i would rather put it like "dig out " wheather there are any misbehavior in the data. Anything that could suggest change in pattern, or may be a scam or malpractice.
The way that suited me the most is asking questions. What should be this ratio? Why it is an amount x and not y? Who effects this ratio the most?
When you analyse large sets of data you tend to come across hundreds of questions like this. In my case most of the questions are automatically gets sorted out when you dig into the data or enquire elsewhere. Some left unanswered. These some are the ones which if you can answer can make you a very good analyst.
One more thing , in case you did not encounter enough questions, the best way is to form different sets of ratio's . Ratios between different parameters, Ratios between different ratios. According to my small experiance , i am sure you will definately have new questions which you have not thought out before.
