Know Your Interest Rates

Hi,
I learned a interesting and important fact , that could be used in day to day life. There are hundreds of interest rates and if you are not cautious enough you will be in a wrong belief that your bank is charging you the best interest rate.

Sample this.

Money flow.
You take 500 units now and pay 600 after a year later.

It can be seen as you take a loan of 600 now, bank pays you after deducting the interest . So interest rates become 16.67 percent.
Another way is you take a loan of 500 and pay 600 a year later. 50 interest on 500 means an interest on 25 percent.

In case of normal emi . If you take loan today of 500 and pay in installments. Do not add up all installments to the end. Since this will make you feel you paid after the time period where as you have paid throughout the period. So the interest rate you think you are paying is almost half of wht it is actually is.

Make a benchmark to compare the interest rate of all banks. General is to calculate emis on monthly rest etc and calculate effective rate for the whole year.
More or less dont get confused with the schemes that confuse you like pay one installment early and in advance. Discounting given on loans is also a confusing factor.

Corporates follow a simple rule... if you cant sell your product confuse investor.

Santro Xing Vs Wagon R

Hello friends,

Recently i have done a study between Santro Xing and wagon R . There is constant comparision between these two . Here is a brief summary.

Santro has a better design , good shape looks pretty . Although less spacious than wagon r.
Tires of Santro (base) comes in width greater than wagon r , better control and stability but less mileage. Santro also do not have an electronic power steering which wagon r has , this also contribute to better mileage. Santro AC is said to be better than Wagon R.
One is Korean Technology and one is Japenese. But driving comfort is better in santro.
What i feel is when comparing if one looks at the use ( city driving ) , these points gets swamped away by single positive point that santro looks good and better driving comfort. You feel like you are driving a car.

iPod

hi,

I purchased a new iPod video 30 Gb few days back. After dumping 20 + episodes of Friends , 1000 + songs and 5 movies it still got 14 gb of space left. There is no need to mention the design. Regarding the scracting issue a good plastic skin will take care of it.
The few features i like the most till now are,
Artwork attached with everysong , enhances the song quality to a greater degree.
Photo slide show with your desired song is also a feature that one would enjoy.
All those who loves organising , this is a must buy.

The negatives are:--
Battery Life for audio is good but with video it hardly able to complete one whole indian picture ( 3 hours ) .
You cannot backup ipod using itunes. ( This could easily been added as a feature.)
Although some sites do provide the last feature.

On the whole ipod is a great music system to have . A bit higher on cost but its high style statement will take care the cost.

Fighting Yourself

Fight between Heart and Mind is always considered as the mightiest fight. Some says heart should win and mind should support . Some says Mind thinks logically you have to convince your heart to do whatever mind says. There have been numerous of cases where everyone says to follow your heart and not mind , and then there is Mahabharat stating one who can control his heart is the master of universe. I think I am digressing from the topic.
I am talking about the consequences of the fights actually, consider Mahabharat and other instances you can think of . Everyone everyday comes across this kind of fight. For some it is not more that 5 words for some it is a mahabharat. But at last it is the way the fight is fought that matters. " I don't know if you are able to understand any of this but still" . It doesn't matter whether your heart wins or your mind , what matters is whoever has won has to keep other satisfactorily happy . One has to make other understand why he should win. Like I have said some great philosophers already taken one of the stand and for themselves and for you . But the final decision is on you and it is you who have to take the decision. Different situations have different decisions and no one medicine can cure all your problems.
Just help me get out of this deep philosophy.

Sandwhich CAUTION:--
Diet consicous people can stop reading the details.
1. Two slices of breads.(Of course)
2. Butter on both slices ( Inversely proportional to your Jeans size) (Girls... dont spoil your sandwhich)--- Not too much Butter i mean
3. A layer of Myonnesee.( Same Amount as butter)
4. A layer of Musturd Sauce. ( Just for Flavour)
5. Slight layer of chilli sauce .. ( personaly i dont like .. butrecommended as taste)
6. Cheese ... to taste.. ( Actually no need .. just to increase theno. of indegrents.)
7. Sliced onions ( Personaly i took 2 layers .. recommended a single layer)
8. Tomatos.
9. Kakdi ( I dont remem. what you call kakdi in english)
10. Oregano ( Highly Recommended)
11. Salt and Pepper as taste. (Dont avoid Pepper it really augmentsand enhances the taste) Thats it... just enjoy .. you can cut the scrumtious sandwhich tomake it sumptuous also. Actually i didnt get a chance to do that.
